Sedna Heitzman (2000) started playing the violin when she was five at the music school in Alphen aan den Rijn. In 2012, she was accepted into the School for Young Talent at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, where she studied violin with Koosje van Haeringen. Sedna is now studying her Bachelor's degree at this conservatoire with Ilona Sie Dhian Ho. In addition to violin, she also developed a big passion for the viola, since 2018 she has been receiving viola lessons from Liesbeth Steffens and she is the viola player in the Viride Quartet.

Sedna has participated in masterclasses and music festivals such as, among others, Meisterkurs Kloster Schöntal (Germany), Crans-Montana Classics (Switzerland), Delft Chamber Music Festival, the Orlando Festival and the Zeist Music Days, and she also took part in competitions such as the Dutch Violin Competition (Davina van Wely category), where she received the prize for the best performance of the commissioned composition, and the Prinses Christina Competition, where she won second prize in the Regional Final in Rotterdam. More recently, in November 2021, Sedna won the first prize in the National Viola Competition and also the prize for the best performance of a Fantasy by Telemann.

Sedna plays a violin built by Wolfram Neureither in 2015 and a viola built by the same luthier in 2018.
